(When can you expect LEADS to come in?)
In my last post, I shared this:
“You want to be able to run ads for at least 2 MONTHS without making any money.”
Now — does that mean you won’t get any leads in those first two months?
No.
It simply means you should NOT RELY on those early leads to carry your business.
Having a 2-month “runway” gives you (and your ad strategist) the space to:
✅ Test things
✅ Gather meaningful data
✅ Make informed, strategic decisions
The last one is CRITICAL.
Too many new advertisers hit the panic button early:
“Our ads aren’t working — let’s change EVERYTHING!”
But effective advertising requires decisions based on DATA, not emotion.
A sufficient budget helps you stay level-headed, so you can do just that.
🤔 So… when do leads actually start coming in?
Surprisingly early.
If the campaigns are set up properly, you can start seeing leads within the first week.
The progression goes like this:
1. You get leads (most will not be qualified)
2. You get some qualified leads
3. You get more qualified leads
💡 It typically takes 2-3 months to reach that third step.
Will you make money during those early months?
Most likely.
💰 If you’re closing some of those leads, you can break even or turn a profit early on.
But the goal of those first few months isn’t profit.
The goal is to gather meaningful data that sets you up for LONG-TERM SUCCESS.
