How much money could you WASTE on bad Google Ads?

How much money could you WASTE on bad Google Ads?

(What’s the RISK?)

To answer this question, let’s define what “waste” means.

🎯 All service businesses run ads with the goal of acquiring CLIENTS.

And ultimately, make MORE MONEY than they invested.

$ → [ads] → $$$

So waste in this sense may look like this:

$ → [ads] → nothing

WASTE = to spend money but GET NOTHING BACK

⏳ But over what timeframe?

If you ran a campaign for a few days and got zero clients, is that waste?

What if it’s a week? A month? Three months?

As you can see, CONTEXT MATTERS.

Say you hired an agency or freelancer to run Google Ads.

You feel confident about them.

They launched a campaign or two.

Weeks later, you spent thousands of dollars, yet still don’t have clients coming in.

❓ WHEN SHOULD YOU CUT YOUR LOSSES?

Provided that:

✔️ You’re spending at least the bare minimum required for success

✔️ You’ve got the right assets (landing page, keywords, etc)

✔️ Your agency/freelancer knows what they’re doing

✔️ You or your team can close the leads that come in

You want to give them at least TWO MONTHS to bring you paying clients.

(📌 For most service businesses, that translates to spending around $5,000-$10,000.

Of course, this isn’t about spending blindly.

That range only applies if you’ve got the right assets, the right strategy, and someone experienced at the wheel.)

This will provide them with enough space to gather insights and make informed decisions.

During this time, they must regularly check on the QUALITY of leads.

  • – “Are we getting leads?
  • – Are they any good?
  • – Has anyone become a client yet?”

They can then use your feedback to make adjustments on the campaign, in turn, producing better quality leads.

💰 And ultimately, PAYING CLIENTS to your business.

(This is just the beginning. Once leads and clients start coming in, the next question is:

How do you get more of them consistently?

That’s the topic of scaling, and we’ll tackle that in a future post.)
